GOOD FRIDAY / COMMUNION AT HOME

"This do in remembrance of me."  This was one of the last commands Jesus made to His followers.  It has been a tradition at Coastline that we observe Communion on Good Friday while remembering the significance of Cross of Christ.   Here is how to join us and demonstrate to your family the importance of this practice:

  1. COMMUNION ELEMENTS - Make sure you have prepared the elements for communion before the service.  Usually this will be grape juice and unleavened bread--substitutions are acceptable.  The significance is in the heart of the practice.
  2. Tune into our service online at
FRIDAY, APRIL 3 at 6:30 PM
on online.church, livestream, youtube, or facebook
  3. Join with us in song and listen as Pastor John and Pastor Neil briefly explain the relevance of the cup and the bread.
  4. After the online service closes, be sure to lead a discussion with your family/friends about this observance.

DECORATE YOUR DRIVEWAY
FOR EASTER - CONTEST

What a purposeful way for your family to work together AND have fun!  Decorating your driveway with chalk art for the Easter season helps you practice social distancing while telling the story of Jesus in your neighborhood.  Here is how you can "win" doing it:

 1. Decorate your drive-way:
Using chalk, draw an Easter message on your driveway.
Just make sure it tells the story of Jesus.

3. Use #easterathome

SHARE YOUR STORY

We have all witnessed the life-changing power in the Gospel.  Now, more than ever, the world needs to hear the Hope you have in Christ.  We are challenging all of our members to share a brief testimony on their personal social media page of their choice.

  1. Plan what to say - Share your story of how God has changed your life; or if God has given you a specific verse from His Word during this challenging time, share how it inspires you.

  2. Pick the right place to record - Make sure there is plenty of soft light (no harsh shadows).  Indoors is usually best with natural light from windows.  Make sure your background is clean and quiet.

  3. Hit Record - Introduce yourself, read the verse, and talk about it very briefly.  Watch it and re-record until you get it how you like it.

  4. POST IT! - Post it on Facebook and be sure to tag Coastline Calvary Chapel in it!
